We have created a specialised learning package for a group of multi-agency professionals across our partnership who will serve as MCA champions for their agency or sector, this training is also open to all professionals who wish develop their understanding of MCA 2005.

We kindly ask everyone to complete the audit form and share with your colleagues, this will give us insight into the training and support required in the borough:

  • Understanding Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)/ Liberty Protection Safeguard (LPS)
  • Understanding Human Rights and advance planning. i.e. Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)/ Advance Decision
  • Case law (local context and learning) on serious medical treatment and end of life decisions
  • Continuing NHS health care, s117 care planning
  • Management of people in ICU
  • Challenging assumptions and executive decisions
