Course Outline

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Recognise signs of potential child abuse and be able to escalate your concern appropriately

• Use your knowledge of the child protection process to support others and the child whilst investigations are carried out

• Provide appropriate information to support the investigation of a child protection concern

• Understand the role of the LADO

• Understand the LADO process from referral to conclusion

• Know when to contact the LADO or make a LADO referral
