Learn how to spot the signs of coercive control and how to support those who may be facing this abuse.

This course will be delivered virtually through Teams or Zoom. This is an interactive session, participants are expecting to have their cameras turned on.

Learning outcomes

• Understand controlling and coercive behaviour

• Define the definition and legislation - including the New Domestic Abuse Bill & Economic Abuse

• Identify signs and indicators - Power & Control Wheel

• Understand the impact that this behaviour has on victims / survivors

• Understand what makes it difficult for a victim to leave

• Tools on how to provide support to victims - DASH Risk Assessment / MARAC (separate internal course delivered by Havering)

What is the cancellation policy?

All cancellations must be made via Eventbrite. We will not be accepting email cancellations. Failure to cancel 48 hours before the training date will result in an £80 fine.
